The Inn at Little Washington, located in Washington Virginia, is an internationally recognized restaurant and Virginia wedding venue. The Inn has been awarded three Michelin Stars and has been named one of the top ten restaurants in the world for it’s culinary excellence.

The Claiborne House is one of the historic properties at The Inn available for intimate weddings and events. It boasts a private garden and a two story veranda. The Claiborne House can accommodate 12 for a seated dinner or 30 for a cocktail style reception. 

Alli and Sean’s Spring Wedding at The Inn at Little Washington

Everything about Alli and Sean’s wedding invitation suite (and entire wedding day) was intentional. Amazingly, Alli designed her invitation suite herself. She included special touches like her and Sean’s names written out in their own handwriting and collected vintage stamps to adorn the envelopes.

The painting, entitled “something blue”, was painted by Allie herself. Her paint brushes tie in her love for painting and the wax stamp isn’t merely for decor— it was used for the wax seal you see on the invitation suite.

Shells represent Alli and Sean’s love for the water and give a nod to their Key West wedding reception this coming February. We finished off the scene with a gorgeous hand painted flat lay mat from Lindale Studios.

After being engaged for a little over 3 years, with c*vid throwing a wrench in wedding planning, Alli and Sean decided to host an intimate wedding at the Inn At Little Washington.

Alli had shared with me her vision for the evening which included being surrounded by their favorite people, dancing lady orchids, candlelight, and garden party vibes.

The week before their wedding, Alli decided she wasn’t happy with the wedding dress she had ordered, and took it upon herself to make her own. She took design inspiration from three different dresses and sewed together a masterpiece. The sheer talent it takes to not only make your own wedding dress but then to have it fit PERFECTLY?! I’m still in awe. The couples’ mothers then sewed their names on a tag inside the dress.

If I had to use two words to describe Sean and Alli’s wedding day, it would be intentional and loving.
