As a Northern Virginia family photographer and mama to a little one myself, I love meeting new families and providing them with beautiful images to adorn their walls and hearts.
This session took place at Blandy Farm, which is about an hour from Washington D.C. and 30 minutes from Winchester, Virginia. It is a gorgeous and wide open location that is perfect for family photos. There are fields, historic buildings, blooming flowers of all kinds, and views of the mountains.

Audrey wanted a simple setting for her family’s session. I suggested this beautiful open field that has a road leading into the distance. The calmness of the setting allowed the family to be the focus of the images and highlighted their special bond.
When planning outfits for your family session, I recommend sticking to neutral colors, keeping in mind your surroundings and the final look you are trying to achieve. I love how Audrey chose this beautiful flowy dress that flattered her features and skin tone. This combined with her husband’s shirt color and little Eleanor’s cream color onesie created a beautiful, complimentary color scheme.
