A Spring Apple Blossom Mommy and Me Session in Northern Virginia
This Northern Virginia mommy and me session with the apple blossoms has my heart! The apple trees in Virginia usually bloom at the end of April into May, creating the most beautiful backdrop for spring portrait sessions. I love photographing family sessions in the spring when the flowers are blooming and temperatures are comfortable for little ones to be outside exploring the world around them.
Capturing the special bond between mamas and their little ones is my passion!
I love that Nadia chose neutral colors for their outfits. It created the perfect contrast against the colorful pink blossoms.
When photographing little ones, I love to let them lead the session. This means letting them walk around, explore, and snuggle up with mama. Because little ones tend to have short attention spans, it’s the perfect opportunity to get candid images full of smiles and wonder.
I always suggest families bring a few props, like a blanket to sit on or hats to wear. This adds a more texture and personality to your images.
I used a mixture of digital and film photography during this mommy and me apple blossom session. I love the beauty of film images and always edit my digital images to match as closely as possible.
