Where to stay and what to do in the Outer Banks
Each year since meeting my husband in 2016, we take an early summer trip to the beach, just the two of us. Our favorite beach within a 6 hour drive is The Outer Banks. Our favorite place to stay in The Outer Banks is Kill Devil Hills. I just love the small town feel and beautiful beaches. We use airbnb.com to find cute beach bungalows. This year, we stayed at The Board Room. It is an adorable tiny house that was formally a mini surf board factory used by Jesse Fernandez, an east coast surfer. Cool story- we got to meet him! He lives right next door to The Board Room! Such a cool experience.
We enjoyed sleeping in, grabbing coffee & bagels in the morning, and visiting the beach.
Iced coffee is life, no?

Hurricane Mo’s for a fun upstairs open air bar
Mama Kwan’s Beach Bar for the BEST Caribbean jerk chicken!
Kill Devil Grill…make sure you make a reservation! Its always packed!
Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant is probably my favorite spot to grab a drink! Visit the upstairs bar! There are huge open windows that overlook the sound- so relaxing!
Another fun part of the OBX: Bru Thru! It is an unofficial tradition that we visit to pick out our favorite adult beverage to sip on while on the beach.
