Winchester, Virginia Maternity Session at Blandy Farm

How beautiful is Hannah!? She and her husband, Drew, are due to have their first baby at the beginning of October. We spent a warm September evening surrounded by the beauty of Blandy Farm, the red and yellow flowers giving us the perfect backdrop for a fall-themed maternity shoot. A Maternity Session at Blandy Farm

This maternity session at Blandy Farm took place in the fall, as the air was starting to cool, yet there were still beautiful flowers blooming all around. Blandy Farm is located in Boyce Virginia, 20 minutes from Winchester Virginia and about an hour from Fairfax, Arlington and D.C.  There are no permit fees to photograph here and there are endless beautiful photo opportunities. 

What to Bring To Your Maternity Session

I always encourage clients to bring along props to their session to bring more interest and personality into the images 

• Baby items (shoes, blankets, hats, books)
• A blanket to sit on
• A picnic basket
• Hats
• A bouquet of flowers

Another good thing to bring (especially for expecting mamas!) is a pair of comfortable walking shoes. 

When To Schedule Your Maternity Session

32-36 weeks is usually a safe window of time in. which to schedule your maternity session. This allows som wiggle room incase you deliver earlier than expected.
