I met S+K on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at sunrise on a cold winter morning. The temperature was in the low 20s and the only other people there were ambitious morning runners. A sunrise session in D.C., although early, is super worth it for photos that make it seem you are the only two people in the entire city.
The Lincoln Memorial is one of my most favorite locations in D.C. for engagement photos, because so many D.C. landmarks can be seen from the memorial’s steps. We had views of the Reflecting Pool, Capitol Building, and the Washington Monument. The Reflecting Pool’s water was frozen over, giving it the prettiest glossy finish.
S+K met at a bonfire party that was hosted by mutual friends. A year later, they started dating and the rest is history! One of their favorite things to do together is getting Acai bowls after church on Sundays. Shannon says they enjoy doing the little things together, like grocery shopping and relaxing on the couch after a long day of work. They truly haver a Sunday kind of love.
The couple is looking forward to their wedding this summer at in Sandiego, California.
