This at-home newborn session took place when McKenna had just turned 4 weeks old. She loved being wrapped up and slept through most of the session.
Prior to your at-home newborn session, I recommend giving your baby a warm bath and feeding him or her so that they are sleepy. This allows for easy wrapping and an overall smooth session.
I typically photograph newborn sessions in the morning, in a room that gets a lot of natural light. If you will have toddlers/older siblings included in the session, it is best to have it take place earlier in the day well before nap time when little ones are at their happiest!
Is that a little smile I see?
We incorporated a few props like a basket, head bow, & neutral colored blankets and wraps.
