Rock Spring Retreat Wedding

Jenny and Gary

You might wonder how a wedding could possibly be planned and executed within 3 months. I am here to tell you that it is possible, and it can be done BEAUTIFULLY. There was a great amount of thought, care and detail that went into Jenny and Gary’s wedding day. From securing a beautiful venue, to all of the little details that represent J&G as a couple, nothing was overlooked. With the vision of the bride and groom and a team of amazing vendors, this wedding day was absolutely flawless.

Rock Spring Retreat hosted the occasion and served as the perfect location for an intimate October wedding. Rock Spring boasts beautiful gardens, a historic stone house, magnolia trees and an adorable barn.

The couple chose to have a private first look prior to their ceremony. During this intimate moment, they read hand written vows to each other and blotted away a few tears.

For their ceremony, the couple put a fresh spin on an old tradition and symbolized their unity by making a PB&J sandwich (with homemade blackberry jam, of course!) After all, what goes better together than peanut butter and jelly? The couple’s love for blackberries was also incorporated into the table settings, invitations and wedding favors.

Lavender was put out for guests to toss as the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife.

The barn on the property hosted dinner and J & G’s reception. Beautifully set farm tables greeted each guest with personalized wooden coasters. After dinner, the couple cut into a cupcake that was artfully made by Jenny.

During the ceremony, guests could partake in dipping ice-cream out of an adorable ice-cream cart, take photos in front of a sign-lit wooden backdrop, and enjoy cupcakes and cake pops made by the bride.

There are several magnolia trees that grow around the beautiful stone house of Rock Spring Retreat. A branch from one of these trees was the perfect detail to incorporate into a photo of Jenny’s ring.

The spacious, light-filled rooms of Rock Spring were perfect for getting ready bridal portraits.

Bride and Groom portraits were taken in front of the spring house and the beautiful gardens on the property.
