Silverbrook Farm Wedding

Holly reached out to me in 2019 to photograph her wedding. The universe had other plans, and their 2020 wedding had to be postponed. I like to think for a good reason, because their wedding day was absolutely perfect in every way.

My most favorite images of them took place in the English garden at their wedding venue, Silverbrook Farm. Silverbrook is a gorgeous wedding venue located in Purcellville, Virginia. It boasts a 1700s farm house, large bank barn, English gardens, elegant getting ready suites, and gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

After being buttoned into her wedding dress by her mother, Holly made her way down the steps of the front porch for her first look with Jackson. The couple shared an intimate moment alone, followed by photos with their wedding party and families. We were able to photograph ALL of the wedding day portraits before the ceremony, which meant the newlyweds were able to enjoy cocktail hour with all of their favorite people. Holly and Jackson are some of the most sweet and laid back souls I have had the pleasure of photographing. They didn’t stress over small details, and kept in mind the reason for their wedding day: to marry each other and spend time with their loved ones.

Cocktail hour took place beside the elegant bank barn. Friends who hadn’t seen eachother in years sat around tables laughing and sharing stories. As the day wore on and the sun set behind the mountains, the newlyweds danced into the night with their friends and family.

Details from the day included hand written vows on pieces of notebook paper, a pocket watch that belonged to Jackson’s father and grandfather, a pair of adorable pink block heels, and the couples’ wedding bands.
